Some 240 km North from Coff's Harbour lies Byron Bay, famed for it's surfing and also being the most Easteley point in Australia.

On the way up the coast to Byron we spent 3 nights in Woody Head in the Bundjalung National Park. It was only meant to be a one night stop over on the way to Byron but was so beautiful that we stayed the extra days.

Jack on the rocks at the beach.

We were treated to a visit from an Echidna whilst sat around the camp fire.

Jack 'all smiles' as he waits for a late night sausage sarnie.

The picture does not do this justice. Another afternoon visitor to the camp. Andrew could not believe his eyes, this Goanna was huge at 1.2 metres long. It's body was the width of a leg! After the picture was taken it casually climbed vertically to the top of a tree next to the van.

Around the camp fire.

The camp set up at Woody Head.

Not quite as majestic as the 'Big Banana' but at 9 metres tall and 35 tonnes the 'Big Prawn' at Ballina is definately our 3rd 'Big' of the tour.

An embarrased and broken Man and a very appropriate game of Frustration by the roadside as we run out of petrol on the way to Byron!!! Thankfully we had joined the RACV before setting off on the trip.

1st view of Byron Bay.

The lighthouse and the 'Go Pro's' view from it.

Jack and Karen at the most easterly point of Australia......only North, West and South to go then!!!!

Just after the photo's of the Easterly point were taken we spotted more dolphins playing in the surf below whilst attacking a shoal of fish.

Sun setting over Byron.

Day trip to the Minyon Falls. Andrew and Jack cross the top of the falls about 25 metres from the 100 metre fall!

Jack in the driving seat and riding a sheep at Federal.

Cadbury's have realeased a limited edition 'Vegemite' chocolate. Karen and Jacks opinion, tastes like s**t. Two chunks later and the bars in the bin!

Jack at play in Byron Bay

Andrew 'blows' an egg for Jack to paint.

Andrew and Jack fishing at Tweed Heads.

We finish on a high as Jack catches his 1st fish.

Talking of high's were off to Brisbane via 'Nimbin' next........
